Helsinki – Recruitment of research participants is open

4.9.2024

The class visits of the study’s recruitment phase have been completed! Iisa and Aino visited all the classrooms taking part in the study during the period of 13.8.-3.9. The children were excited to take part in the study, and the invitation for parents to join the study is still open. We understand that parents and guardians are busy during the start of the school year, but we would like to emphasize the importance of the study in regards to children’s health and learning. For the success of the research, as well as for the reliability and impactfulness of the results, it is important that the study has as many participants as possible.

The results from the research can be used to better assess the impact of learning environments on children’s wellbeing, and to create recommendations on how to improve these environments. The infection season which begins with the start of the school year highlights the necessity of the study in investigating the factors influencing illness among students.

By taking part you can help conduct important research and win prizes! The first prizes of the study were raffled on Monday 2.9. This time the winners were participants from Roihuvuori primary school and Haaga comprehensive school.
