Bringing Science Home: “Exploradores do Ar Interior / Indoor Air Explorers” Science Kit Launches in Loures
Building on our citizen science activities, the Portuguese team at IPL has developed an engaging science kit — “Exploradores do Ar Interior / Indoor Air Explorers” — as part of the project’s commitment to promoting environmental health awareness among children and families.
The kit, designed under the theme from lab to classroom to living room, was developed in close collaboration with Science4you and made possible thanks to the generous support of the Municipality of Loures.
🎒 Widespread Reach Across Loures
Thanks to this partnership, all primary school students (from both public and private schools) across the municipality of Loures received the science kit. his initiative reached around 10,000 children, along with their teachers and families, building a strong community outreach foundation for the project.
👨👩👧👦 Hands-on Learning at Home and in School
The kit allows children to explore concepts related to indoor air quality through fun, hands-on experiments, helping them understand how science connects with everyday life — both at school and at home.
