18.11.2025

Hosted by the InChildHealth project, this webinar will focus on Standardising Indoor Air Quality Measurements and Assessments

Indoor air quality (IAQ) plays a crucial role in human health and wellbeing, especially as people spend up to 90% of their time indoors. The InChildHealth project has developed a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure reliable and comparable IAQ data across the study sites and over time. These protocols address physical, chemical, and microbiological IAQ parameters in schools, homes, and sports halls — key environments where children spend much of their daily lives.

This webinar will present the InChildHealth SOP package and describe the ideas and processes behind its development. It will highlight the main lessons learned from the SOP implementation during the measurement campaigns and show examples of data harmonisation achievements in the project. The session aims to give attendees a clear understanding of the value of standardisation in IAQ research and how consistent and harmonised approaches can enhance future environmental health studies.
